Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Calhoun County Cougars
The Macon County Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 24 points or more this season. They breezed by Calhoun County on the road to the tune of 51-22. That's another feather in the cap for Macon County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Macon County found their leader in underclassman Morgan Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Cochran's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Towanna Cochran, who scored 13 points.
The win got Macon County back to even at 3-3. As for Calhoun County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Macon County will be home for the holidays to greet Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenville is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Calhoun County, they will head out on the road to face off against Stewart County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Stewart County is ranked 318th, while Calhoun County is ranked 317th).
