Volleyball Recap: Lockport Takes Down Romeoville in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lockport had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Romeoville Spartans by a score of 2-0. The Porters haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Hutsyn Timosciek paced Lockport's offense, picking up nine kills. Timosciek were helped by Natalie Bochantin and Malley Green, who contributed ten assists each. Emma Consigny controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Romeoville still got an impressive performance from Skyler Carrasco, who had 16 digs and one assist.

Lockport's win bumped their record up to 29-7. As for Romeoville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-28.

Looking ahead, Lockport will take on Plainfield North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Romeoville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
