Basketball Recap: South-Doyle Takes a Loss

South-Doyle lost against Jefferson County back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South-Doyle Cherokees received a blow as they fell 58-42 to the Jefferson County Patriots.

South-Doyle has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Jefferson County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

South-Doyle and Sevier County will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th. As for Jefferson County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
