Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They put the hurt on the Southwind Jaguars with a sharp 18-2 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The win got Arlington back to even at 7-7. As for Southwind, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arlington will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Arlington's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southwind, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Southwind Jaguars take on Fayette Ware Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in their favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fayette Ware has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
