Softball Recap: Franklin County Tech Eagles vs. Mohawk Trail Regional Warriors

In what's become a running theme this season, Franklin County Tech gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They never let the Mohawk Trail Regional Warriors onto the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Franklin County Tech.

Hannah Gilbert made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Gilbert has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Gilbert was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Kylee Gamache was incredible, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Lillian Ross, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Franklin County Tech pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mohawk Trail Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
