Soccer Recap: Fox Valley Lutheran Takes a Loss

If Fox Valley Lutheran was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Shawano Community on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Foxes fell just short of the Xavier Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Fox Valley Lutheran came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Xavier are ranked 108th).

Fox Valley Lutheran's goal came courtesy of JJ Minzlaff, who's now up to two this season.

Fox Valley Lutheran's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2-1. As for Xavier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
