Softball Game Preview: Lake Buena Vista Vipers vs. Edgewater Eagles

The Lake Buena Vista Vipers will face off against the Edgewater Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lake Buena Vista and 23 for Edgewater dating back to last season.

Lake Buena Vista came up short against Windermere on Monday, falling 19-2.

Lake Buena Vista saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Curtis, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those two hits gave Curtis a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Edgewater scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 26-15 to Celebration. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Edgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lake Buena Vista, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Lake Buena Vista took their victory against Edgewater when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 26-4. Does Lake Buena Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Edgewater turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
