Baseball Recap: Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wins Going Away Against Buena Park

In Saturday's Canine Competition, Wiseburn- Da Vinci prevailed. They blew past the Buena Park Coyotes 8-2 on Saturday. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 5-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Nathaniel Buendia looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Xavier Horton and David Holliday did most of the damage at the plate: Horton scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Holliday scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave Holliday a new career-high. Lonnie Jackson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Wiseburn- Da Vinci's record now sits at 12-6. As for Buena Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

When Wiseburn- Da Vinci and Buena Park next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Wolves will try to stop Rolling Hills Prep's four-game winning streak when they meet at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Buena Park will challenge Katella and their six-game winning streak at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
