Baseball Recap: Kings Park Takes a Loss

Kings Park dropped their record down to 9-8 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Miller Place Panthers, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Kingsmen have suffered since March 29th.

As for Miller Place, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Miller Place's part, the result came thanks to Nick Frusco's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 16 Ks.

At the plate, Miller Place got a massive performance out of Evan Fallon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Fallon a new career-high. Van Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

While Kings Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
