Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sumner couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The game between the Stingrays and the Venice Indians didn't end well, with the Stingrays falling 41-22. The Stingrays' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Dorian 'Macho' Jones had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 35 receiving yards for Venice. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 102 rushing yards per game. John Ford was another key back, rushing for 88 yards and one score.

Sumner's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Venice, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Sumner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Venice, they will challenge Lake Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
