Soccer Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lancaster on Wednesday, Lafayette came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Grafton Clippers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Lafayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Grafton are ranked 19th).

Lafayette now has a losing record of 4-5-2. As for Grafton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lafayette will face off against rival Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Grafton is set to take on their familiar foe Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
