South Point has gone 8-2 against Dawson-Bryant recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pointers will venture away from home to take on the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

South Point came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Russell, falling 9-2. The Pointers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant lost 11-2 to Rock Hill on Monday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dawson-Bryant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Bloomfield, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Dawson-Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went South Point's way against Dawson-Bryant in their previous meeting back in April, as South Point made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pointers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
