Football Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Douglass lost against Westlake back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Astros were dealt a 35-7 defeat at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Astros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Lions are ranked 42nd).

Westlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cannon Robinson led the charge by throwing for 222 yards and three touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns gave Robinson a new career-high. Kamar Boykin also helped with two scores in total.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Westlake, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglass will venture away from home to square off against Mays at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westlake, they will head out to take on Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
