Softball Recap: Blacksburg Comes Up Short

Blacksburg had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-5 to make it four. They lost 19-0 to the Hidden Valley Titans. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Hidden Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Hidden Valley's part, RILEY EADES was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave EADES a new career-high. Another player making a difference was BAILEY HALL, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Blacksburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hidden Valley will challenge rival Cave Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
