Philip Jones turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three hits surrendered on Thursday. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Esparto last Monday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock.
