Softball Recap: William Campbell Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact William Campbell can now relate to. They fell just short of the Rappahannock Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Generals have lost by just one run.

William Campbell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arnesia Dews, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Dews has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

William Campbell's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Rappahannock, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

As of now, neither William Campbell nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
