Meanwhile, Santa Gertrudis Academy didn't have too much trouble with Hebbronville at home on Friday as they won 38-21.
Santa Gertrudis Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ariana Lozano led the charge by scoring 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arabella Deleon, who scored nine points.
San Diego's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-15.
