Baseball Recap: Pinecrest's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pinecrest had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Richmond Raiders a 4-0 shutout. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 5-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Will Chopping made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

Pinecrest's record is now 4-2. As for Richmond, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Pinecrest will have a chance to go back-to-back against Richmond: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
