Basketball Game Preview: Pollok Central Bulldogs vs. Jefferson Bulldogs

The Pollok Central Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Jefferson Bulldogs at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pollok Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Pollok Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Newton, posting an 83-36 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pollok Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Matthews, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 25 points and five steals. That's the most steals Matthews has posted since back in November. Dillan Hatcher was another key player, going 8 of 9 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.

Pollok Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson got the win against Grace Community last Friday by a conclusive 71-45. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 11-2. As for Pollok Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
