Baseball Recap: West Sabine Takes a Loss

West Sabine was the 11-3 winner over Corrigan-Camden when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 12-11 on Friday.

Kade Myrann was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Bourque, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

West Sabine's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-9. As for Corrigan-Camden, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-10-1 record.

Coincidentally, West Sabine and Corrigan-Camden will both be playing Groveton the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
