Basketball Recap: Manatee Triumphs

Manatee won the last time they faced Parrish Community and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Manatee Hurricanes managed a 38-32 win over the Parrish Community Bulls.

Despite the loss, Parrish Community saw an underclassman step up: freshman Romana Lind went 5 of 6 on her way to 10 points and eight rebounds. Lind is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayna Bowen, who posted 14 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Manatee now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Parrish Community, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Manatee will venture away from home to square off against Bayshore at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parrish Community, they will welcome Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
