Rowlett snaps five-game streak of losses on the road

Recap: Rowlett Eagles vs. South Garland Titans
The Rowlett Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past South Garland with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-23. That's another feather in the cap for Rowlett, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rowlett's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11. As for South Garland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Rowlett will be playing at home against Wylie at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wylie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Rowlett likes a good challenge. As for South Garland, they will head out on the road to face off against Wylie East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wylie East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Garland in Texas (Wylie East is ranked 93rd, while South Garland is ranked 914th).
