Ellet waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Barberton Magics a 1-0 shutout. While Ellet didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-14-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ellet's victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1. As for Barberton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ellet will face off against North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Barberton, they will venture away from home to square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
