Soccer Game Preview: North Miami vs. Miami Springs

The North Miami Pioneers will take on the Miami Springs Golden Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Springs took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North Miami, who comes in off a win.

North Miami is headed into the contest having not lost since December 3 and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top against North Miami Beach by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Chargers are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Miami Springs was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Booker T. Washington. The Golden Hawks have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

North Miami has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight contests. As for Miami Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
