Baseball Recap: Gaither Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Gaither had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East Lake Eagles a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Angel Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Gaither's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Lake, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8.

Gaither will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
