Baseball Recap: Buford Gets the Win

Buford won the last time they faced North Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Buford let Easton Rollings and Gavin Lowery run wild. Rollings scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Lowery went 2-for-4 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Rollings a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jayden Mckenzie, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Buford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Central only managed seven hits.

Buford's record is now 11-3. As for North Central, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Buford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
