It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but McQueen ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs, sneaking past 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted against the Mustangs since February 29, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for McQueen and bumps their season record up to 15-14. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Damonte Ranch, they moved to 14-10-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McQueen is set to square off against their familiar foe Spanish Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Damonte Ranch will face off against rival Galena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
