It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cardinal Mooney had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 71-60 victory over the Windermere Prep Lakers. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on 15 straight.

Cardinal Mooney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kali Barrett, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Barrett has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Mignery, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Windermere Prep lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joba Oyedeji, who on her way to 19 points and seven boards. Alayiah Johnson was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven rebounds.

Cardinal Mooney pushed their record up to 22-9 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for Windermere Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Mooney will face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Sports Leadership & Management will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cardinal Mooney surely won't give up without a fight. Windermere Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
