Basketball Recap: Traders Point Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Traders Point Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were beaten by the Tindley Tigers 46-12. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Tindley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachel Day led the charge by going 8 for 19 en route to 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Day has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Alonah Savage was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards.

Traders Point Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Tindley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Traders Point Christian has already played their next game, a 37-36 defeat against Mooresville Christian on the 1st. As for Tindley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-51 loss against Anderson Prep Academy on the 4th.
