Goliad waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the La Vernia Bears. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Goliad was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-101), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 28-26, 19-25, 14-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Goliad's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for La Vernia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-9.
