Basketball Game Preview: Maine West Warriors vs. Elk Grove Grenadiers

The Maine West Warriors and the Elk Grove Grenadiers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk Grove took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Maine West, who comes in off a win.

Elk Grove is hoping to do what Niles North couldn't on Friday: put an end to Maine West's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Maine West managed a 39-34 win over Niles North.

Meanwhile, Elk Grove came up short against Streamwood on Saturday and fell 49-37.

Elk Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Maine West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Maine West against Elk Grove in their previous matchup back in January of 2017, as the squad secured an 82-44 win. Will Maine West repeat their success, or does Elk Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
