Basketball Game Preview: World of Inquiry Griffins vs. East Eagles

World of Inquiry is 0-6 against East since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The World of Inquiry Griffins just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the East Eagles at 6:30 p.m. World of Inquiry is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

World of Inquiry is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Mynderse Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. World of Inquiry came out on top against Mynderse Academy by a score of 56-49 on Monday. Given the Griffins' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

World of Inquiry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcus Noorwood, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and five steals. Noorwood is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Junayde Richardson, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, East was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past School of the Arts 81-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

World of Inquiry's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

World of Inquiry took a serious blow against East when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 93-44. Can World of Inquiry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
