Volleyball Recap: Montbello Falls Despite Big Games from Brittany Delrio and Tia Salas

Montbello's tournament run continued when they took on Mitchell on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Montbello's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tia Salas, who had six kills and five blocks, and Brittany DelRio, who had eight assists and three digs. With that strong performance, Salas is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game.

Montbello's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Mitchell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-16 record this season.

Montbello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Denver West on the 28th. As for Mitchell, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sand Creek on the 28th.
