Piner extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-16 in the process. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Healdsburg Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-2 loss on Wednesday.

Tyler Coester was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Piner: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kellan Stiles, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
