Central Valley faced Mt. Spokane in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since April 30, 2024.

Central Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mt. Spokane, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
