Basketball Game Preview: Stockton Blackhawks vs. Scales Mound Hornets

Stockton is 0-10 against Scales Mound since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Stockton Blackhawks will head out to square off against the Scales Mound Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Stockton is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They were dealt a 72-33 loss at the hands of East Dubuque. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 650th, while the Warriors are ranked 204th).

Meanwhile, Scales Mound ended up a good deal behind East Dubuque on Friday and lost 72-55. The Hornets have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Scales Mound's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Stockton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.

Things could have been worse for Stockton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-43 loss to Scales Mound when the teams last played back in January. Can Stockton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
