Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Jesuit Takes a Loss

Cristo Rey Jesuit lost against Cristo Rey St. Martin back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros had to suffer through a 64-28 loss at the hands of the Cristo Rey St. Martin CRSM. The Cristeros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Cristo Rey St. Martin to victory were Haze Massey and Lebron Massey. Haze went 8-for-11 en route to 19 points and four steals, while Lebron went 7-for-15 on his way to 16 points. Lebron is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Ceniceros, who posted ten points.

Cristo Rey Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Cristo Rey Jesuit didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-28 defeat against Goode STEM Academy on the 10th. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they will face off against Westlake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cristo Rey St. Martin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
