Hough is a perfect 10-0 against North Mecklenburg since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hough Huskies will welcome the North Mecklenburg Vikings at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hough took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Mooresville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Hough sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over Mooresville on Thursday. The victory was just business as usual for the Huskies, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Payton Elwell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caitlin Schriber, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, North Mecklenburg had just enough and edged out Ashbrook 14-13 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Hough's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.6 runs. As for North Mecklenburg, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hough took their win against North Mecklenburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. Will Hough repeat their success, or does North Mecklenburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
