Meanwhile, Marian Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-39 bruising from Crystal Lake Central.

Marian Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Chicago Hope Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Chicago Hope Academy was taken down by Marian Central Catholic 62-24 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Marian Central Catholic's Juliette Huff, who made all 6 shots she took from beyond the arc for 22 points and three steals.
