Basketball Game Preview: Mayfair Monsoons vs. Arcadia Apaches

The Mayfair Monsoons and the Arcadia Apaches will round out the year against one another at at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mayfair's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mayfair is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 96-32 win over Middle College. The Monsoons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Arcadia was just a bucket shy of victory two weeks ago and fell 52-51 to Brentwood School. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Eagles are ranked 15th).

Mayfair is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
