Langston Hughes entered their tilt with Stephenson on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Langston Hughes was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Kaylen Dowell paced Langston Hughes' offense, picking up six kills. Dowell got some help from Chamarie Lisbon and her 14 assists. Desiree Robinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Langston Hughes' victory bumped their record up to 9-19. As for Stephenson, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-4.

Looking ahead, Langston Hughes will take on Dutchtown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stephenson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Forest Park on the 25th.
