Mills Carrillo made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Chase Flemming looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
