Alexander Central waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ashe County Huskies a 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-5 back in March.

Alexander Central got a great performance from Dillion Church as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. Church has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sawyer Chapman-Mays was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Alexander Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Ashe County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
