Basketball Recap: Wingate Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wingate can now relate to. They took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crownpoint Eagles. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Wingate still got an impressive performance from Morning Sky Iron Moccasin, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Casamero, who scored ten points.

Wingate's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Crownpoint, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.

Wingate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Navajo Prep will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Crownpoint surely won't give up without a fight.
