Volleyball Recap: Antietam Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northern Lebanon, Antietam was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Dover Eagles as Antietam made off with a 3-0 win. The Mountaineers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27, 2024.

While Antietam won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-15.

Antietam can attribute much of their success to Brayden Yelk, who had 21 assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Yelk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Quintin Heller, who had five kills and three aces.

Antietam's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antietam will face off against William Penn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dover, they will take on Red Lion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
