Basketball Recap: Kelcie Fulbright Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Idaho Christian

Foothills Community Christian lost to North Idaho Christian back in November of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Falcons managed a 32-28 win over the Royals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Foothills Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelcie Fulbright, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Olson, who put up seven points.

When it comes to explaining why North Idaho Christian lost, don't look at Chelsey Cate. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Cate has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more boards the last 20 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Salaiz, who had five points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Foothills Community Christian's record now sits at 2-0.

Foothills Community Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-13 defeat against Flathead Valley on the 22nd. As for North Idaho Christian, they will face off against Oaks Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 1. This will be the Royals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
