Baseball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Acton-Boxborough barely beat Westford Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Revolution blew past the Grey Ghosts 10-1 on Wednesday. The Revolution's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Evan Koh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Koh was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Kyle Leite and Jonathan Schick did most of the damage at the plate: Leite went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Schick went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That triple was Leite's first of the season. Dong-Yi Lee was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Acton-Boxborough kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Acton-Boxborough's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Westford Academy, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will host Bedford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westford Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Methuen at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
