Volleyball Recap: Skyline Has No Trouble Against Mesa

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain View, Skyline was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mesa Jackrabbits with a sharp 3-0 win. The Coyotes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Skyline's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-16.

Elianna Bancroft had an outrageously good game as she had four aces and one block. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Skyline's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-13. As for Mesa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Skyline and Mesa will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Coyotes see the court they'll take on Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Mesa, their break will end when they face Red Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
