Tree of Life Christian hadn't done well against Shekinah Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Trojans skirted past the Flames 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Flames on Thursday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Tree of Life Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Donnally, who had ten digs and two aces. Donnally is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mimi Cochran was another key player, getting 11 digs and 11 assists.

They weren't the only good server: Tree of Life Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matchups.

Eleyna Beachy and Haylee Beachy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Eleyna had 30 assists and nine digs, while Haylee had 16 digs.

The win got Tree of Life Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Shekinah Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tree of Life Christian will face off against West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shekinah Christian, they will be playing at home against Liberty Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
