Kalida is 8-0 against St. John since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Kalida Wildcats will host the St. John's Bluejays at 1:00 p.m. St. John's took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Kalida, who comes in off a win.

Kalida will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Liberty-Benton, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Kalida walked away with a 43-33 victory over Liberty-Benton on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kalida's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Meredith Bockrath led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Unverferth, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, St. John's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Marion Local and fell 60-23. The Bluejays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Kalida now has a winning record of 7-6. As for St. John's, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.

Everything came up roses for Kalida against St. John's when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 70-34 victory. Will Kalida repeat their success, or does St. John's have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
